Friends of Southboro Recreation supports recreational activities for the youth and families of Southboro. As residents and parents in the Town of Southboro, we believe it is important to support our community and assist in providing for and expanding public recreation for all areas of development and age groups. Currently, many families leave our town’s borders to pursue recreational activities. Our organization would like to help provide activities to keep our families here in town and promote community togetherness and spirit. We are seeking to expand our children's opportunities to gather and grow together within the town of Southboro.

Friends of Southboro Recreation hopes to gain funding through grants, donations and general fundraising in order to support the children and families of Southborough. The goals of our organization are to support existing community events, develop new community programs and activities, award scholarships and fulfill the general needs of the Recreation Department. Together with the Recreation Department, Recreation Commission and Selectmen, we hope to provide a variety of resources to facilitate physical, social, emotional and intellectual development for children and families in our town. We believe investing in our youth and families is an integral part in developing and maintaining a well-rounded community.
